
Business Analyst
Focused Consulting (FCI) is looking for a business analyst to fulfill its needs providing consulting services in the regulated life sciences sector.
The ideal candidate will be able to learn and easily move between related technical consulting disciplines i.e. business process analysis, business solutions definition, system architecture, technical writing, system validations, system configurations, report development, training, data migration, etc.
Job Responsibilities
Apply full system development life cycle methodology, including requirements gathering, development of use cases, and system testing.
Conduct requirements analysis with key users.
Conduct data analysis and review information from a variety of controlled systems.
Ability to learn how to configure, use, and demonstrate a variety of enterprise software applications.
Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, distinguish user requests from the true underlying needs, and distinguishes between business and technical needs.
Develop validation plans for new and upgraded software systems.
Author computer system validation deliverables, including requirements specifications, testing protocols/scripts (i.e., IQ, OQ, PQ), validation incident reports, trace matrices, and validation reports.
Consistently apply a consultative approach with customers and seek to understand the customer's strategy.
Identify solutions to solve customer issues.
Write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication tools (emails, technical project documentation).
Communicate and collaborate with customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements.
Be a proactive team participant.
Assist FCI management to administer current accounts. Network with customer management and employees to resolve any technical issues and to solicit support for Focused Consulting’s expertise and performance.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in computer science or business administration related areas preferred (Equivalent work experience acceptable)
5 years relevant work experience
Knowledge of system development lifecycle methodologies and validated systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Strong troubleshooting skills
Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Demonstrate self-discipline and motivation in all aspects of job performance
Able to complete assignments with minimal direction
Must be able to work in a team environment, handle multiple tasks, and react quickly to problems and issues
Enhanced PC knowledge and skillsets utilizing Microsoft products
Analytical skills required, including an understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Preferred Hiring Criteria
Skills or experience with business process and/or data analysis
Basic understanding of relational databases and T-SQL (or related)
Strong problem-solving skills
Prior experience with document, learning, or process management systems a plus
Crystal Reports and/or Business Intelligence development experience
