Senior PLM Product Data Analyst

Focused Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior PLM Product Data Analyst to support enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) initiatives within a regulated MedTech environment. This role will partner closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Business SMEs, and technical teams to define product data models, drive cross-functional alignment, develop requirements, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and enable the integration of PTC Windchill with downstream enterprise platforms including ERP, MDM, and UDI solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis skills with deep product data expertise and the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

The PLM Product Data Analyst job description consists of the following duties, tasks, and responsibilities:

Product Data & Data Model Management

  • Support PCM data model development to enable product data flow between PTC Windchill and ERP platforms.

  • Support master data and UDI submission data model development, including GTINs, package levels, and related product data structures.

  • Assist in defining and maintaining data structures required for ERP, MDM, UDI, and related downstream systems.

  • Contribute to the harmonization of product data models across operating companies, business functions, and systems.

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

  • Analyze business requirements and identify process, data, and technical gaps.

  • Apply critical thinking to refine business-provided requirements and recommend practical technical solutions.

  • Translate business needs into actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Analysts, and Solution Architects to define scope and implementation approaches.

  • Capture, document, and validate requirements from business stakeholders and subject matter experts.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Facilitate alignment between business and technical stakeholders across multiple operating companies.

  • Support the PCM Product Owner in driving adoption and maturation of PLM processes and capabilities.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to improve product data governance and data quality practices.

  • Serve as a liaison between business, product, and technical teams to ensure consistent understanding of requirements and solutions.

User Acceptance Testing

  • Develop, maintain, and execute User Acceptance Test (UAT) scripts for PCM capabilities.

  • Support UAT planning, dry runs, execution, defect management, and validation activities.

  • Document test results and coordinate resolution of identified issues.

  • Ensure solutions meet documented business and functional requirements prior to release.

Documentation & Training

  • Create and maintain job aids, process documentation, and training materials.

  • Support knowledge transfer activities for new and enhanced PCM functionality.

  • Maintain requirements, user stories, and project documentation within Jira and Confluence.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.

  • 7+ years working with structured document management systems.

  • 7+ years working with structured change or release management systems.

  • 7+ years of experience within a MedTech organization.

  • 5+ years of experience with Product Part configuration and usage within PTC Windchill.

  • 5+ years of familiarity with UDI data requirements and processes.

  • 5+ years of familiarity with ERP data structures and integrations.

  • 5+ years supporting User Acceptance Testing activities.

  • 5+ years of experience using Jira or similar project management tools.

  • 5+ years of experience using Confluence or similar collaboration platforms.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience working within Agile software development methodologies, including participation in backlog refinement, sprint planning, requirements development, testing, and release activities.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Technical writing expertise.

  • Power Query experience.

  • 7+ years serving as a subject matter expert for document management systems.

  • 7+ years serving as a subject matter expert for change and release management systems.

  • 7+ years of leadership experience within a MedTech organization.

  • 5+ years of experience with eBOM and mBOM structures in PTC Windchill.

  • Subject matter expertise in UDI data management.

  • Subject matter expertise in ERP master data management.

  • Experience writing and executing formal UAT test scripts.

  • CAD integration experience within Windchill.

  • Polarion integration experience within Windchill.

  • Experience leading Agile delivery teams, product initiatives, or cross-functional workstreams within an Agile development environment.

  • Scrum Master, Product Owner, Agile Coach, or similar Agile leadership experience preferred.
